About Dermatop® Emollient Cream

Dermatop® Emollient Cream is a type of medicine known as a topical corticosteroid. Due to their anti-inflammatory properties, topical corticosteroids are ideal agents for many skin conditions. They reduce redness, swelling, and itching. When used as directed by your doctor, topical corticosteroids can provide safe, effective relief of eczema symptoms.

Dermatop® Emollient Cream may be prescribed for the treatment of mild to moderate eczema.

Dermatop® Emollient Cream may be used in eczema patients as young as one year old, although the safety and effectiveness of its use for longer than three weeks has not been determined in patients this young. Dermatop® Emollient Cream should not be used for the treatment of diaper rash and is not recommended for use in children younger than one year old. Dermatop® Emollient Cream should only be used as directed by your doctor.

Dermatop® Emollient Cream is for external use only, and you should avoid contact with eyes. Do not bandage the treated skin area unless instructed by your doctor. This medication should not be used on the face, underarms, or groin areas. Contact your doctor if no improvement is seen within two weeks of starting treatment.
